The kindergarten and preschool at King Abdulaziz University merged under the name "Childhood Center" in 1430/1431. The Childhood Center, in its practical, research, and training capacities, is considered a laboratory for the Department of Childhood Studies. It is operated under the supervision of the Faculty of Home Economics Vice-Deanship of Development and the Academic Committee
